How to use ESSER Funds Brochure
About This Resource

Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds were created to help K-12 schools address learning loss by providing additional services to students, hiring and training staff, and enhancing facilities and equipment to address health-related needs.
ESSER funds were released in three rounds:
• ESSER I: spending deadline has already passed
• ESSER II: spending deadline is September 30, 2023
• ESSER III: spending deadline is September 30, 2024
As of March 2023, on average, states have only used about 50% of these funds. Don’t let these funds go to waste! Learn how technology fits under ESSER qualifications.
